Victor Doan is a music educator and singer based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas. He is an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education degree with Vocal Concentration at Texas Christian University under the mentorship of Dr. Sheri Neill, Dr. Christopher Aspaas, and Dr. Laura Singletary. Doan expects to graduate May 2024, and plans to pursue a Master’s degree in choral conducting and a doctorate in music education in the future.
At TCU, he sings with the Concert Chorale, University Singers, Frog Corps, and Purple White and Blues ensembles. Doan is currently the Vocal Division Representative and past President of the Music Educators Organization. He has also held various leadership positions in the Epsilon Epsilon chapter of the Mu Phi Epsilon professional music fraternity.
In addition to his roles at TCU, Doan also sings at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church as a Choral Scholar. He is also an active barbershopper: Doan sings tenor with the Vocal Majority barbershop chorus and lead in a barbershop quartet called the Five Foot Four.
Doan is a proud product of Texas music education: he attended schools in Lewisville ISD and graduated from Hebron High School in 2019. He has sung under the direction of Rachel Forester, Nathan Ratliff, Toni Ugolini, Halley Radebaugh, and Teri Pipitone. Doan considers these directors his greatest sources of inspiration, without whom a supreme spark for music would never have been kindled.
Doan holds active and student memberships with the Texas Music Educators Association, the American Choral Directors Association, the Texas Choral Directors Association, the National Association for Music Education, and the Barbershop Harmony Society.
